Case study

Case study: a bridal boutique that stopped searching through registers

Bridal boutique · Ghatkopar — Made-to-measure bridal and festive wear, working with six karigars across two workshops.

6 karigarsWedding-season volumes
The situation

Measurements lived in old registers and phone photos. During wedding season, pieces went missing between karigars and trial dates slipped.

What we built

Customer & measurement records, stage-wise order tracking, karigar job-work slips and GST billing with advance receipts.

The result
  • Seconds to pull up a repeat client's measurements
  • Every piece traceable to the karigar holding it
  • Weekly karigar payments settled from work-wise statements

What's included

Six modules, set up around the garments you make and the way your studio already works. Start with the ones you need most.

Customer & measurement records

Garment-wise measurement templates for blouses, kurtas, lehengas, gowns and menswear. Each order keeps its own copy, so older measurements are never overwritten, and reference photos stay with the customer.

Order booking & stage tracking

Book an order with style notes, fabric, trial and delivery dates. Every piece moves through your own stages, from cutting and embroidery to stitching, trial, alteration and ready.

Karigar job-work

Print issue slips when a piece goes to a karigar or tailor and record it when it comes back. Work-wise rates build each karigar's weekly statement automatically.

Fabric & trims inventory

Stock of fabric by the metre, laces, buttons and embellishments, with what each order consumed. Low-stock alerts before a busy season, not during it.

GST billing & advances

Take advances at booking, raise GST invoices at delivery, and see the balance due on every order. Daily collection reports for cash, UPI and card.

Reminders & reports

Trial and delivery reminders to customers on WhatsApp or SMS, overdue pieces flagged for you, and reports on pending orders, karigar dues and sales.

How an order moves through your studio

From the first measurement to the final bill, every step is recorded once and visible to everyone who needs it.

  1. Measure & book

Pick the customer or add a new one, choose the garment template, take measurements and the advance, and set trial and delivery dates.

  2. Cut & issue

Fabric is allotted to the order and the piece is issued to a karigar with a job-work slip and a due date.

  3. Trial & alter

The piece comes back and is logged. The customer is reminded of the trial, and alteration notes stay with the order.

  4. Bill & deliver

The GST invoice adjusts the advance, the balance is collected, and the order closes with a full history.

It keeps customer measurements, orders, karigar job-work, fabric and trims stock and GST billing in one system, so you can see every order's stage and delivery date at a glance instead of relying on notebooks and WhatsApp.

Yes. We set up measurement templates for each garment type you make and save them against the customer, so repeat clients' measurements are pulled up in seconds and can be updated on every order.

Each piece issued to a karigar or tailor is recorded with the work type and due date, and received back against the same entry. You always know who holds which order and what is payable to each karigar.

It is built around your workflow. We start from proven modules and adapt order stages, measurement fields, reports and billing to how your studio works. We are based in Mumbai and also work with boutiques across India online.

Yes. The software runs in the browser and works on phones, tablets and computers. Each person gets a login with access limited to what they need, so a counter assistant can book orders without seeing your accounts.

Yes. Reminders for trials, deliveries and pending balances can be sent on WhatsApp, SMS or email, and you can also send a message manually from the order screen.

Yes. Existing customer lists and measurements in Excel can be imported. For registers, we agree with you which active customers to enter first so you can go live without waiting for the full backlog.

Yes. Most boutiques begin with measurements and order tracking, then add karigar job-work, fabric stock or billing once the team is comfortable. Each module connects to the ones already in use.
